True, but I’m thinking the first roll is valid even though the <=6 was wrong. It’s mainly a cool effect for simplifying results.
Just for clarity, I would’ve said the same thing if the situation was reversed, so not trying to just get some advantage, but think it’s more a matter of comme-il-faut and praxis.

The UK bomber was supposed to be a part of the attack on the German DD and 9 German fighters. Another UK miss; sure, par for the course.
What else could go wrong? Right, the UK sub in SZ 97 was supposed to go from SZ 100 to SZ 99 during the CM but overshot and went to SZ 97. I am happy to leave it there though.

No subs in z95, but 7 started in z97 and 1 in z100. The sub in z97 is from the retreat. If you want, you could’ve saved the one that moved from z100 and it would then end up in z101 doing some convoy disruption work.

Of course, now there was a roll in z99 which influences.

But I’d say it’s more logical to retreat into a convoy zone, especially when there are no threatening des around. On the other hand the sub gets westward easier from z97.
