Wasn’t expecting Russ trenches to fight back. A trench gave a hit in round 1. Commies gave 6 hits but AI chose to take 5 on trenches and 1 conscript, rather than all on trenches. Defense was the same, value of 1. But it confused me at first. Got tech, but least usable, cav move 3, as I lost all my cav in the battle. Really could have used art barrage.
Heavy guns really increased your defenses this turn. Paris added 5 HG, 3 free inf & 3 trenches for 39 defense and 14 hit points. And France had cash left over for other places. That will be almost impossible for Germ to overcome, even with no UK troops.
