Sure, take your time with it. I’m out on vacation, so probably can’t make a move for another 10 days or so anyways.
L21 Amon-Sul (Axis) vs Pejon_88 (Allies + 16)

This game is really cool
and I hope we can have a rematch with same bid, switched sides, after we finish this one?
cheers

@amon-sul Might have very well tipped the battle with one additional Japanese sub.
The sub should definitely have gone to z37 in order to maximize the important big battle, instead of doing a risky raid in z39 (even if successful it’s inferior).
-
@amon-sul no problem
-
@amon-sul Yeah sure 😊
-
@trulpen you need to look in the game history. This was a sub that was sent for convoy at Calcutta the round before, which a French des managed to sink. Had it survived it would have most certainly been participating in the battle.
-
Actually, the game history is a bit corrupt. When I looked at it and went back and forth, units were multiplied. Therefore didn’t look so deep, but that makes a lot of sense anyway. :)
-
@trulpen Ah, ok. It is too bad, when that happens when you try and look at other players games.
What do you think about the whole thing happening in Shan State and SZ37 btw?
-
@trulpenplay Apologies for my English there 😂
But you got my question I believe. -
Hehe, it’s bold, to say the least! Not sure if it was wise, but think it was a better idea than what first met the eye. With a bit of luck it would’ve been crushing. Destroying the sb’s was definitely worth something.
I think I would’ve continued the battle as J with an expected 40 TUV-swing. A lot of overforce and a chance at obliterating the american and australian AF. What I could see the surviving fleet would’ve been pretty safe against weak air-raids and a lonely sub, but perhaps I missed something.

U missed the dice xd
-
I have bad exp against attacking a bunch of figs.
But, yeah, its true.
He could hardly counter my surviving stack, but if i ve won with battleships only, i wouldnt had dhan state air for support, and im that case he could sink me with combine usa, uk, anzac attack.

The thing is he would have the power of 46, and I of 61.
That one round if went bad for me, could wreck everything down for me.
Those 4s are tricky, he could shoot 9/10 , or something like that.
But maybe I would smash his guys, hard to tell.
I think I did well, and we ll never know what would be the other way, since we dont know the dice outcome.
But I aprreciate ur opinion especially since U are an AXis bard.

True, but the odds were in your favour. Anyway, there might also be a deeper perspective, like holding Shan a s o. Your choice was likely a good one.

Yep,
cuz even if I did win that naval battle with let say 3 figs, it would still be problematic, since I couldnt properly defend Shan State. UK could take it by land.
And USA had bomber and fig against my 2 wounded bats. Well, thats not good.
I think this was the best way, considering the circumstances.
