Very complicated maneuvering in the Pac with all these scrambling carriers, and so much water to cover Hopefully didn’t make any blunders.
@amon-sul Yup, I thought the risk of severely crippling Japan was worth it. Got 3 bombers out of the way and considering the new cost of 14IPC, they are rarely replaced now I feel. Japan is down to 15 planes in total and have to decide on SZ37. Problem with non-100% battles is that it can in most cases be one or two hits in either direction that is the difference from being a 50-50% battle instead, so it is quite safe to call it a 50-50% battle when counting luck, if you follow my train of thought. It usually deters people from attacking in those situations and since I put myself in a nice position I gambled. Right or wrong, I don’t know :)
@amon-sul Will play Soviet now so you have plenty of time to plan Japan. I hope to be quite fast in response to a potential attack and OOL. Only certain thing I can say right now is damaging the ACs and BB.

@pejon_88 My defense dice are seriously lagging behind… I can on the top of my head tell you all defending tanks have missed, at least 3 of them that I can remember. Quite frustrating.
@pejon_88 I did a no-brainer miss with one UK inf in NCM. Was supposed to move to Mozambique and not Rhodesia. Will change during Soviets.

Yeah, the Taranto thing was my standard move before with Allies, but then I got diced a, few times, and saw the other good players dont go for it so often so i abandoned it as my standard uk 1 move. It doesnt mean i ll never play it, but Definitely not almost always as i used too
It started very badly for U,
Russia lost the battle against Italy,
2 unusually strong countries in this game met in rare head to head battle.
The Italians showed their strength.
But all other battles went very smoothly for U.

Mechs are of course great for J as well. Big areas to cover. But you don’t want to end up using them for garrison. Also, with the inf-train you have 2 steps to Calcutta and 3 steps to Moscow. From Berlin it’s 5 steps to Moscow and 6 steps to Stalingrad/Caucasus.
The range and flexibility is simply more worth to G than J, and that’s because J usually needs to garrison China and has to have those inf in place anyway. In OOB mechs are a far superior unit on land also for J.
