I have installed the newest abattlemap and the map for the newest game but none of my maps have a toolbar or infobar. What am I doing wrong? Would someone please help me?

This thread is dedicated to “ABattleMap” and serves as an inventory of links to threads that had been stickied for a long time. “ABattleMap” is sort of an electronic gameboard and had been the fundament for play-by-forum on axisandallies.org for a long time - until TripleA made its way.

Some of the links given in the threads may be still valid, so it might be possible to use “ABattleMap” even nowadays. But don’t expect any updates, map-fixes or new maps.

Do a search on this site, there are a few threads describing where and how to install. Google it if you have to. When I installed it last time it came with all the maps, no need to install other packages. When it first runs it defaults to the original second edition map, select new map should present you with dozens of maps/games.

Darn, was hopin it was already done! Hey, we gotta be first out the door, we don’t want that icky TripleA game showing us up! We’re Abattlemap! We’re the best! (wink)

Let me know if you need anything other than me sitting down to deal with the 2nd edition rules, to help out. I need to print them out and read them - one day.

No, unzipping is no problem. One of them can’t even get the download going.

The other one, we finally got it working, but I’m not sure what combination of maneuvers finally got the job done.

No, they’re not close by, otherwise I would do it for them myself.

Reinstalled ABattlemap because it doesn’t allow me to use: “List Units” on the View bar. But it still doesn’t work. Do I need this anyway? What does it do?

It’s been a long, long time, but as far as I remember you should manually delete the ABattlemap.ini. It will be recreated on the next program start.
You should be fine then.
