You can go max def. so take out sub, dd, and cruiser

Then I have defense rolls also and can continue normally after round 2 -

1 SUB, 1 FTR, 1 T.FTR, 1 BMB vs. 1 BB-hit + 2 FTR -

I’m ok with the bb being damaged by the sub. And then I said take out the sub, dd, and cruiser for the remaining 3 casualties

ahhh, then just roll defense and then you can manual post and then quit when it asks if you want to continue battle or retreat

Ah I see, good point. I would have taken the sub as a hit for that reason, rather than damage the bb.
