    Yes, the Axis forces look a bit overwhelming now.

    I’d like to play another one with you, but would require some rule-changes regarding primarily subs and trannies. Also don’t like the blitz-capability for mech, mot and a-cars. They should be able to join tanks on their blitz-endeavours though, but then they are clearly over-priced.

    Changing costs would take extensive work, but on a short note I believe inf are too cheap. Maybe tanks as well.

    @trulpen I’m not sure i’m up for all the changes dealing with the costs and what not, but what are your changes for the subs and transports?


  • Regarding subs:

    a) Can’t block movement
    b) Can’t be hit by air unless there is atleast one opposing des present
    c) Des cancel subs abilities of first-strike and unrestricted movement
    d) Defense-value of 1
    e) Cost 6

    I’m pretty definite regarding a-c, while I feel d-e makes for a better balance in relation to des, but not as crucial. As the game works now there’s really no point in paying 1 IPC more for a des, when you can get an even better ship with a sub.

    I really don’t like that trannies have defense value. I’d prefer to play with the G40-rules there, that they have 0 defense and also can’t be taken as causalties before war-ships and/or air.

    @trulpen I think the sub blocking was changed in the newest version. The air we can just agree on. DD’s in this keep the ship around to return fire, where if there wasn’t a DD and the SS hit a ship it would just be lost without return fire. What is the SS defense value? I think them not being able to hit air makes them weaker than the DD’s if we keep the rest the same.

    I agree about the AKs but i don’t know an easy fix for it, and it would be unwieldy if we tried to change it in game.


  • Subs defend @2. In my book that’s just bad, since they’re cheaper than des and much better because of the first-strike and sneak. In a fleet you only need 1 des and then the rest subs. Haven’t seen a serious sub-spam yet though.

    Maybe keep the cost for subs at 7, but lower their defense to @1?

    AK? Is that transport?

    It’s possible to change the game-file. Another option is to just move out any trannies before battles, but I’d prefer the latter.
