Can U help us with a rule issue so we can be sure, since triple a isnt always right.
If Germany and Italy attack the True Neutrals, is Mongolia pro allied? And if so , does Russia has to declare war to Japan first to pick up those guys?

I ve just tried in triple a to move russians into turkey and NW Persia, if not at war with Germany, and it cant move there.
So it seems U were right about that.

Hi guys - responding to Amon’s question about Mongolia.
If the Axis attack a true neutral, Mongolia goes pro-allied like any other true neutral. Russia does not have to declare war on Japan, but the allies would have to move in to claim the infantry same as Afghanistan, for example.

@gamerman01 I worry that your answer might be misleading.
It’s true that Russia doesn’t need to declare war on Japan for the Allies to claim pro-Allied infantry in Mongolia … but I think Amon-Sul might have been asking about Russian options specifically.
Russia does need to be in a state of war with Japan for Russia to enter pro-Allied Mongolia due to theatre-specific neutrality.

I have another question. In the rulebook it says:
Political Situation: The Soviet Union begins the game at war with no one. The Soviet Union may not declare war on any European Axis power before turn 4 unless first declared war upon by a European Axis power or London is captured by an Axis power. It may declare war on Japan at the beginning of the Combat Move phase of any of its turns.
I interpret this that the Soviets should be able to declare war on EU axis on its turn 4. But is it first on turn 5?

But could U pick it up with (other) allies?

@Amon-Sul I think I needed to be at war in the Pacific theatre. Maybe @wheatbeer can confirm? All other allies could pick them up as soon as you declared war on the neutrals.

Because of DOW restrictions on Russia in the Pacific map, Russia can’t leave original Russian territories in that area of the map if not at war on the Pacific map, which would mean declaring war on Japan - thanks, Wheat -
