OK, I didn’t know and couldn’t find it in the rule book.
@LennardF I’m not 100% sure as I can’t find the rule either but my guess is that because you intended to unload them but were denied since you didn’t win the sz battle, your move was simply cancelled. I don’t think it gives you the chance to move those unit in any other manner.

@samuel06 OK. I’m going to check with the guys on the forum because I’d really like to know what the official ruling is.
It seems in keeping with the game since you can unload after the naval combat but maybe the retreat would be viewed as taking that time. OTOH, if you are looking for game balance, a guy that just got diced is now being further punished by not being able to unload.
@LennardF One of the guys on the forum (AndrewAAGamer) is saying the same thing you are. Doesn’t matter for this game because I think I’m going to need to bring all the Italians anyhow but it’s always good to get these things squared away.
