Thanks everyone for pitching in. I needed this addressed as I plan to start a meetup for my area. Wanted to make sure we were playing right. I understand it’s optional, however if we plan to bring in new players to our table wanted to make sure I knew the rule regardless… Don’t want to begin round 1 with an argument lol.

Okay, I have only played Europe 1940, and i want to know, is there an alpha setup for Europe, or is it just global. Because when i see the setup for Germany and Italy, I believe that the axis are HUGELY overpowered. 11 infantry in Russia?! 3 more planes for the Luftwaffe?! Russia receives next to nothing, and the British only get a few more planes. How is this FAIR?!?

Buy Euro & pacific games. download the Alpha+2 rules and objectives and set ups, play both OOB and the Alpha+2 using the global rules for the OOB and the Alpha+2 rules for the other set up. I think you’ll see the diff.
I think the Alpha+2 is a better game and I like it the way it is
