Ive recently found it more beneficial for the axis not to go for vichy, seems like a much larger advantage for the allies if they can get it to a long game.
It’s very true. Vichy is however great for Italy in the early game, which does heavily influence the remainder of the game. It’s still not an obvious choice, with many pros and cons.

@trulpen Id describe it as 1942, but with about twice the map complexity and number of countries as in g40. No NOs and way more units and country specific units that unlock after round 4, for example Germany gets jet fighters and stukas while the us gets fleet carriers and light fighters.
