I cannot open the map due to incompatible versions, but I guess Japan needs a very concrete threat on VC victory, otherwise it is like 97 vs 150, plus potential support from Russia/UK.

When playing him you have to consider actually having to win by objectives, even as Axis. Japan has about 40 inf in Tokyo, so it might take a while :D -

I stem from the chess culture. There you can offer a draw, but never demand a resignation. Your opponent may play on for as long as he like.
There it’s pretty common that people defend so called lost positions. Even to the bitter end.
It’s also much more common than can be expected that such positions also are defended to draws or even wins.
Of course, in correspondence chess, which is closer to the time-frames here, it’s less common.
Chess is also a game where the analysis is more square.
With dice, the chance for a come-back is in a way greater.
Anyway, whether I drag out things or not, it’s not personal. I don’t drag it out just for the sake of dragging it out. I play on until I find that it’s genuinely over. It’s of course a matter of analysis and perspective.
I’m also still quite new to this game, so have plenty to learn.
