@SuperbattleshipYamato hard to argue against any of this really. The IJN was so far gone by this point in the war that there’s not really much they could have done to salvage their situation one way or another. The bit about the allies not having many LSTs in general is something I never knew before though.

Among my Grandfather’s things were several issues of “Task Force Times” which was a short brief that circulated during the Berlin Air-Lift, in which my Grandfather served as an Air Traffic Controller.
I’ve uploaded the copies for anyone’s reference or enjoyment. Just 20 pages.
The blue documents are harder to read, but legible if you zoom in. There are two copies of the Nov 23rd issue, one marked for unknown reasons.
