no I disagree totally, you go really big on 97 with like 90+ odds or don’t do it… it’ll bite you in the ass. for me, that kind of scramble is a no-brainer. same kind of thing happened to ksmckay in my recent game with him, and he went in with even higher odds than you did

I mean, Romania you’re just risking a bomber, so not really that risky… but 97 is a game decider if you lose, but not for us if we lose

The intent was to cripple the italian can open. Yes there was “some” risk. But if italies can-open could be permanently crippled, Moscow could be saved against the “grouping” schedule you guys run.
Also, we strategized early that the best way to break you guys off your game, was to make it a chippy west coast offence game. grinding up the risk.
Romania was ugly, but Sz97, was reasonably calculated. 0 hits round 2 instead of an average of 4, against a maxium defense x2, is definelty a 1% axis outcome ;)
That’s just how it goes.

if that bomber went to 97 instead, that would’ve bumped the odds to over 90%, we likely wouldn’t have scrambled. that would’ve made a huge difference for you guys. that one tank in Romania really that important to put your entire game at stake in 97??

I guess you’re not understanding my point. luck aside, you guys put your entire game at stake in 97, but it didn’t have to be that way. if we lost badly, it would most definitely NOT have been game over for us… we can afford that loss, but allies can NOT.
