    Danka. I believe you are correct - what happens this turn will dramatically change the game. It’s the culmination of 3 turns of purchases and moves based on the strategies we each have been pursuing finally meeting. And shortly, clashing. Going to be very interesting.


  • I really like that both of us have been wrong footing the other. I also wish the Russians weren’t so fat and slow, but, frankly, I think I’ve gotten more action out of them then I usually do. They are just a ginormous punching bag.

    The ginormous punching bag is what’s forcing me to spend hours to analyze how to maneuver forward without that thing swing back and knocking me out.


  • Honestly I’m kind of proud of your move in Russia, you normally play it so conservative. Also, you had horrible luck v France and SZ11 in round 1; that helped me out more than I realized at the time.

    I’m also a bit disappointed in how I’ve played the US build up for the Atlantic. Pretty fricken’ wasteful with good results against Italy, not so good v Germany. Building enough Air is such a pain in the ass.

    I like my UK job, despite set backs, I give myself a B-

    Russia game solid B-/gold star for inventiveness (for me, I had never thought of bashing the Japanese in China, using that route)

    Well - I think USA in Europe deserves a higher grade. C+
    And I think your USA Pac deserves lower. Not enough Trans/ground units. Matched with a turtling Anzac, they haven’t done much to keep japan tied up.
    Chinese - sold B - but not only because they are still alive. They are the reason India is still alive. been tying up a lot of Jap ground troops. Has taken me a while to build up to move forward.
    Your UK has been good.

    Your Russia has completely stymied me. Trading space for time very effectively without losing much troops in Europe, while causeing huge problems for japan, without losing anything there yet. While your income is finally taking some hits, that inf stack in Moscow and in China is HUGE. Gives the other allies some time to do something. A solid A-.


  • Thanks man, I think my early Russian moves were inelegant and my buys could have been more …idk, what F else is there to do w/Russia.

    And yep, I think my Pac game will be better next time. I’ve been lost out there- don’t die has been my strategy. Weak.

    The J-3 still throws me off, those IPC’s are missed. Plus I burned 35 on Atlantic transports for a one-shot.

    But hey, I’m learning so much and having a great time, so whatever. I learn way more when I make mistakes than when I do something right and don’t know why.
