@FMErwinRommel yes…that was some happy hunting! And with a successful bombing run against malaya that all adds up to some serious hurt for japan!
I was agonising over this turn…although allies have a healthy dollar lead so far that can quickly evaporate! I have managed to make good mainly the losses in the south pac and even have 1 more carrier than japan! Yunnan is nicely stacked for another round at least of chinese arty buys and causing headaches for the japanese army. Europe is a bit of cause for concern though. Russian and UK income just exceeds germany but US cant intervene too much yet…:grimacing:
I didn’t think of the bomber in Australia reaching Asia for SBR. I could have put a fighter there. I expected Allied fleet Med to go to Gibr since you already have the isles and need more troops. The Med fleet is still low on tt’s and DD’s. Altho its still strong defensively and the Germs don’t have enough fleet or air either. The Italian fleet is just defensive, but at least the convoy route isn’t full of allied subs. Not used to such aggressive Asian allies. China regaining Burma Road is highly unusual and dangerous. But A&A revolves around the Eastern front more than the Pacific. So Germany is pleased that Japan is getting the most U.S. resources.

I gambled on using just 2 ground troops in Ros instead of 3, and didn’t take it. Besides not getting the income, I now realize that the mech in Volg can reach Ukr. So had to put planes there, altho wanted them there anyway for offensive potential. Plus had to defend my other I.C.s and Bry. So I had to rearrange and calculate every target you could reach. Not that you would risk your planes for air only battles.

Nice to see Russia’s income continue to dwindle. I see Russia decided not to continue the fighter arms race. Makes sense, as even if Rus spent all its income on fighters and brought in the Brits, we would have been about equal in air strength. May as well build troops while you have the income.

It looked dire for Japan, but with a lot of re-arranging of planes, good dice in Celebes and builds, its looking better. Its never good to let China and India combine to take Yun, but I’ve got a powerful force in FIC. You’ve played many more games than I have since we last competed. And it looks like your Allied play has significantly improved from when our 3-set match easily went to the Axis. My Italians are marginalized and my Japanese are still fighting for their lives. Which lets UK put all its builds into the Mideast. Let’s see if the U.S. shifts its builds to the Atlantic. This Japanese turn was complicated. Finding planes from multiple starting points that could reach targets and then land in multiple new locations. Might have been helpful to break out the board game and move the pieces around, if I even have a Global board that matches.
