Just to add an extra comment here: I’m not sure I’m understanding the original question correctly, but if it means “what is the footprint (length x width) of every sculpt in the game?” my reaction would be that this information a) would take a lot of work to compile and b) is unnecessary for designing a custom map. To make sure that a custom map is large enough, all that’s really needed are three measurements: the dimensions of the Anniversary game board, the dimensions of the largest naval sculpt in the game (which is probably either the Japanese battleship or the American aircraft carrier), and the dimensions of the largest sculpt in the game which can be positioned on a land territory (which I think would be the American B-17 bomber). If custom map’s sea and land territories are big enough to handle those large sculpts, then they’ll be big enough to handle the smaller ones.
Color of the Pieces: what are the paint equivalents/codes/names??
-
Does anyone know the identity or name or designation of the colors of the different units?
Isn’t there some “industrial” standard/name for the Italian “brown?” etc etc
If someone could post the id’s/codes here that would be great!!
Or perhaps it isn’t even that difficult; are there any commonly available modeling paints
which are the equivalent to the UK tan or the Russian red; for each country? etc etc
Can someone post this info?

The game manual says:
USA: green
Germany: gray
UK: tan
USSR : maroon :|
Italy: brown
Japan: orangeWhen I play with my pals, we say:
USA: verde (green)
Germany: ¿no puede ser más negro? (It cannot be even more black?)
UK: raro, tirando a blancusino (strange, seems limey :-D)
USSR: rojo (red)
Italy: marrón (brown)
Japan: naranja (orange)
China: verde claro (light green) -

Japan - orangey-brown

Haha. Too true. I think some painting is in order for most players who care about board readability!

I had some issues when italian and soviet units fought in Romania. It’s the only really confusion you can have whith this item.

if you think that pieces color are similar, try on playing with a friend who is color-blind, as I did… when he tried a multiple attack against my Russian units in China using both Japanese and Chinese units I know that there was something wrong with him…

i think that some of the color got messed up pretty bad
Germany: they should be gray but look black as hell
Soviets: I guess they over-looked the whole RED Army thing, huh?
Italy: They should be blue, like in the TripleA map -
