Yah wasn’t cheap for me to lose some of those mechs, but at this stage killing off the Chinese really helps japan, and that’s more important for me right now.

Germany would be the issue as it came after Italy’s turn. I’ll edit the move in, but if you think it had an impact, just edit it back. I’m just trying to get the subs in a position that only Japan can hit them and to have them in positions I don’t think you want your Japan fleet to end up. But its minor if I’m stuck with it.

it seems to me in retrospect, that little experiment you had going with splitting off a very sizable portion of your uk army and sending them into china, did not end well at all. you have incurred enormous losses because of it, not to mention losing India very easily to the Italians.
but the game ain’t over yet, and we’re always learning something new!

I shared the same assumption with AD so there wasn’t much at stake, but I was curious. I have a vague memory of reading somewhere that it does not touch, but on the map colombia has that protusion that seems to (almost) touch.

@axis-dominion it might very well be. At the time I was more worried about the Europe side of the map, and wanted to keep Japan spending on land to allow the US to spend more on Europe. But I didn’t think I had to worry about you going for a pacific victory
I think another error might have been splitting the Soviets as much as I did between Caucasus and E Europe. I was hoping to pressure Germany more, but I think holding Caucasus for longer was more important. I may not have actually had more options there, but I suspect I did.
I don’t expect this game to go on much longer. I think I can stop you from winning in the Pacific (in the next few turns at least), if I fully commit to it, but I can’t win the game in the long run if I can’t pressure Germany and Italy in Europe as well. Its very hard to figure out how to do both. But i am still going to try!

@farmboy I was thinking that Venezeula and Central America were adjacent (I wanted to move the bombers to that airbase). I’m guessing not and colombia is in the way but wanted to double check.

@farmboy I was thinking that Venezeula and Central America were adjacent (I wanted to move the bombers to that airbase). I’m guessing not and colombia is in the way but wanted to double check.
Yah they don’t look adjacent to me but again you can check with @gamerman01

Yeah I think that stretch of land in colombia does separate the two of them but also doesn’t reach 89 which is a bit weird.
This is a newbie question that I should know the answer to but now I am second guessing myself. Baby brain is my excuse. I can walk into Colombia now and then fly over it this turn. But I can’t land in it until next turn.

I’m a little fuzzy on this too, but I believe you can’t fly over a neutral (friendly or not) on the same turn you take it. If it was a strict or pro axis neutral that you had attacked with planes, then yes they could continue past and thereby it’d be virtually flying over (really flying through). Again you can double check with the @gamerman01

I’ll wait for @gamerman01 to confirm but I think you are right. The rules only speak to not being able to land but I found an errata online where movement is also not allowed. And that rings a bell. So you will find my bombers grounded in Venezuela on your next turn.
