It’s a risk. Russia does have a lot of firepower on defence and G mainly benefits from the later battle-rounds.
The thing is… it went reeeally badly

Well, G should likely lose a lot of troops, so there would still be mobilizing on both sides, but G would have a great income and able to focus on the ME. Definitely advantageous.
