  • @jim010 gamed all day Saturday in real life with a buddy. Looked really good, then round 5 Allies did some damage. In the end, Euro was a bit of a draw, Pacific I needed one more victory city. Fun times. I like the board game version a great deal.

    Actually UK and China are allied from the beginning of the game.

    Rulebook Pacific 1940.2, page 35:
    “Germany, Japan, and Italy make up the Axis. For the moment, the United Kingdom (including Canada), ANZAC, France, and China make up the Allies. The United States and the Soviet Union are neutral.”

    There are indeed movement restrictions applying here and there for powers not at war with another power. But that is independent from being allied or not. Only USA and Russia start as powers being neutral (not allied).
