@barnee I doubt that it is something on your end. I am regularly experiencing this, getting “temporarily unavailable due to heavy load” messages almost every day.
It’s not only bound to the login but to the access to the forum in general.

Have I overlook a tab for creating a poll question? Or has the new site layout done away with that feature?

If that feature was available you would find a respective button above the editor-box (marked yellow) when creating a topic.
However, as that specific button is missing it looks like this feature has not been enabled (yet).
Any plans, @djensen ?Don't always trust TripleA when it comes to rules questions. Know the rules before you start … and better check what TripleA has done.
