  • @Robert it’s just 1 round of combat between the defending planes and the attacking planes, all units hitting on 1s. So it’s basically the number of planes on each side that decide the odds. :)


  • I was expecting only fighters to be interceptors, but it seems like all the attacking planes shoot at 1!

    No interception. Soviets will rely on their superior AA guns!


  • Are TripleA rules coherent with the interceptor rules?

    Here’s what I found:

    The attacking bombers and fighter escorts and the defending fighter interceptors will be the only units participating in this special combat.
    The combat lasts for only one round.
    All of the air units have attack and defense values of 1.


  • @Robert those are the rules, that’s true. Only Fighters can intercept, but I think that both Fighters and Tactical Bombers can be in the attacking force in such a battle… Not sure, though.

    The game includes the Tac bombers in the attackers (So he has Tac + Bomber + Fig) vs my 3 Fig, not much of a fight :) Better save the plans for the defense of Moscow!

    So to explain the situation.

    Yes only fighters can escort/intercept.
    The tacs are not escorting, but are doint tactical bombing of your airfield. They still get to fire against your intercepting fighters, just like the bombers.

    All aircraft in air combat get to roll 1 dice and only hit on a 1.
