It’s interesting how the scramble is about an equal tradeoff of fighters for equal value of ships in both cases. So I’d be happy to trade the French fighter, but otherwise I want my UK planes.
What’s the goal of not attacking Normandy? It should be possible most of the time (90%?) to get France and Normandy. I partially screwed myself in one game when I didn’t get Vichy established (a small mistake which was the first of many). I guess the $3 revenue is good too, but I think Vichy is better.

I figured it was my bad in 106 so I just kept the sub there but then… your sub wasn’t counter-attacking in 106 so I just retreated out of the battle. You can blow it up or edit it out on your turn.
As for your question last night… look at the history of my first rolls. I lost a plane in France and would have lost a lot more hardware because of some bad rolls. I trust I’ll get Holland Belgium soon enough! As far as Vichy, there’s a trick to getting the British in there on first round anyways and, if you don’t know it, then it would be unfair for me to take advantage. It kind of coincides with the UK putting an air base into Gibraltor on turn one which seems to be all the rage ATM.

I don’t think the sub could have submerged even if it wanted (and I didn’t want it).
“A player may choose to submerge all, some, or

You can keep the sub. What’s the UK trick? Are you just talking about getting UK land unit or two into Southern France to stop Vichy? Seems like a bad idea as it wastes a transport and will just get killed by the Italians.

Though you also get the cruiser and destroyer if the Axis doesn’t do Vichy. I think Vichy is the way to go, though it can mess you up on France if you get very bad dice. Of course I’m new so I’m still figuring it out.
