Does anyone know what the dimensions were/are on Sired’s boxes for his miniatures, referenced in the above thread? I want to make my own boxes bit I’m hoping to get those dimensions first. Thanks.

I’ve started work on some low cost customization for Europe 1940 2nd edition (and will include pacific 1940 2nd edition when I get it). I was able to get some player aids from https://www.axisandallies.org/forums/topic/21752/game-aids-a-a-1940-global-2nd-edition. I’m also going to implement a resource system into the game, that will introduce resource costs for units (such as steel to buy tanks). Also, there will be an upkeep cost for units, eg: Each tank you have mobilized will cost a certain amount of oil per turn. This is to make the game more realistic, and to discourage unit spamming. I also plan to add more units to the game. That’s all for now

Its also very weird that there not legit because if there not then whatever else game this is, 100% copied pieces from axis and allies then.

Example being the Artillery Piece that’s in the pic compared to axis’s Artillery is identical. Even down to the dice that was in the bag having the American team star with circle sticker on them. Also the “T.” cardboard pieces which I figured were the “territory claimed” pieces. I do realize that a lot of toy/game company’s re-use molds and such. Every other piece looks similar but there’s always something off or different about them. Plus the 2/3 pieces (I have more pieces that I didn’t show) Are similar but have the “peg” type bottom’s like they were to be clicked into a game board…In my hours of searching axis game pieces, It didn’t seem like any had that.

From your profile you seem to have a lot of knowledge about this game but I still hope to get another opinion or someone that knows what they are from still. Thanks though I might just have to chalk it up as a loss.

Ha Those pieces with the “peg” bottom was from a game that Milton Bradley was trying to make like the Battle Ship Game . It was called “AWE HE BLEW UP MY TANK” !!! LOL

As part of building my Global 1936 capability, I’ve converted Bob A Mickelson’s Pacific 1940 Task Force Markers so you can use them for Europe 1940 Armies. I have the small Global war map so think task force markers will be invaluable! As per my Anniversary aid’s used Bob’s work as a base as liked the graphical presentation of his markers the most.

If you download Bob’s original markers from the Pacific 1940 thread you can use for Global 40 as well of course, or Global War 1936 as I intend to.

I look forward to buying some cruisers and battleships from you in the next month or so. What is the appropriate scale to match up with OOB pieces?

On the left-side of my shop homepage there is a list of categories. Anything in the “Axis & Allies” categories is sized to exactly match the OOB pieces. Avoid the 1/1800, 1/2400, and 1/4800 scales. Also all of my models should have their dimensions listed in their descriptions, so you can verify the size if you’re interested.

@barnee thanks, I was inspired after watching Midway to do them like that, and to differentiate them from fighters for my less observant friends. I liked it so much I did my Stukas and Japanese tacs the same way as well.
