All good. Only thing is you can buy tigers turn 1 in my game. Not turn 6.
@SS-GEN why would you do that, I wonder? as i understand things, the german tanks in 1940 were glorified armoured vehicles that were not nearly as good as the russian t34s, which (according to vdh) were based on some designs by GS Patton. if anything russian should get a '“tiger”.
I’m playing global 40 house rules right now, oztea’s optional tech pkg. it favors the axis in my opinion but has the give it because they got it idea.
My game starts in Dec of 41. German Tigers were being built around that time.
Russia has KV-1s in game at start too. Stronger than any Ger Tank at the time.

Yes wittman. There was 4 Tiger tanks that saw service on Aug 29 1942 in SE of Leningrad. 3 broke down and all 4 had to be recovered. Then they made more changes to the Tiger designs and then later mass produced them.

Crockett, I have a buds Tech/Special weapons list he used when his 39 game came out in 1995. You cannot use tech until turn 6.
You still could buy tech tokens to research before turn 6 and on each turn after turn 6 1 or 2 countries would receive
a free tech per turn as game went on. I can post a pic of chart if you would like to see or anybody else.
A few techs are not correct time wise. One or 2 countries already had one.
I will see if its just tech or both with special weapons.

After turn 2 I think it’s 4 turns per year
For what it’s worth it’s something that maybe somebody may want to put a few of theses in there game or whatever

No idea. Think got to T12 couple times but never finished game.

HA. They did one game. Got a free tech token. Rolled a 6 for break thru. Then rolled a 6 for Super Fortress. This happened on turn 3. OK can’t use until turn 6. So I buy 6 Super Bombers turn 3. ( 6 max ) Then on turn 4 6 figs for escorts. Then on turn 6 bomb Berlin. Lose 2-3 figs in dog fight and 6 bombers SBR Berlin with 2 D6’s each.
SO now I do like 45 damage to IC. ( 72 max ) wtf. Think 30 was max. SO now Germany has to to repair damage to build and also lost 5 figs in DF and no way they would keep up with just US buying figs and a bomber each turn with Germany losing 30 icps damage and 6 figs 54 icps. Even at 30 damage a turn still to much.
US I only sent 4 bombers next turn and money went else where. Plus bombers could A@1 dog fighting to. That’s pretty strong in d6 system.
So Crus had to change that in game to 1 d6 SBR that I know of.
Also another game Russia gets to defend @3 in winter seasons for Inf and art for all rounds and that was to strong too based on Russian inf cost 2.
Play test people so you have a for sure results.
I edit this at bottom here. It’s the B29 Heavy Bomber. For sure some of these you shouldn’t get before there time. But it’s what you want for your game.

yea the bomber hitting at 1 in 6 is too strong. I was gonna set it at 1 in 12 for starters but triplea can’t do that without switching everything to 12 sided. Which one day I hope to do

I don’t think so. One could possibly have a “requires unit” thingy but that’d only work for the first two. After that they’d all be able to but I don’t think that could be done either.
I keep thinking i should learn how to code so I could do it myself but pretty sure I’m not smart enough : ) Who knows. If we all go into lockdown maybe I’ll give it a go until the power goes out or the net is overloaded and won’t work :)

That would be cool if You could give certain pieces a d6, d8, d10 or a d12 and it would be automatic too from coding them. There’s somebody I thought was able to go in triple a and rewrite stuff on site here. Make all the pieces AD values right or where some pieces aren’t to strong.
Take that back. Use d7 d9 d11 too.

yea you can do it for some with the aaGun code but it won’t work for airbattle. It goes airBattle then aaGun then regular combat. I made a request to one of the slideruler guys but it’s a little down the list from happening.
I envision a future axis and allies roll out as mods or packs like Magic or DnD. So the 42 map and rules are the base set. Then you have your mod map that is bigger and biggest. Then you have mod for the set ups 39, 40, 41. Then you have a mod for the battle for the skies (SBRs), battle for the atlantic (sub v destroyer), battle for the oil fields (house rules that play with movement restrictions based on oil supply), and a mod for the technology race. Put them all together or play them in parts or keep it simple. I would throw in there differing victory condition mods and youtuber house rules edition.
