    I posted below the combat move in case my OOL assumption needed to be revisited. But I completed the combat and the order would have been inconsequential as I got enough hits to take out all the units.


  • That poor first round of combat in 111 (for both of us) really messed things up though. I had hoped to retreat the battleship after one round of combat, but I didn’t want to finish it with so little damage done.


  • @farmboy what happens with all the French/Vichy rules. Do we remember not to use? Does something change?


  • @erinmores At the beginning of the French turn (if no British land unit is in South France) most of the French territories that are not occupied by the axis become axis friendly neutrals.The game will do it automatically.

    More on Vichy rules. French Equatorial Africa, French Guiana and new hebrides remain allied. French units in Allied territories as well as the destroyer off Madagascar stay allied. And to be clear on my previous comment French territory in which there are other allied units (not French) remain allied. If the territory turns to axis friendly neutral, than the units do too. When the axis occupy the territory, they get the unit. However, once the axis occupy S France, all the vichy units that remain in the game get removed. So Vichy gives the axis a boost early, because it removes allied units, and makes some territories easier to take, but it also gives the allies an advantage later, as all these French territories become territories they can take and draw income from.
