Wow, 19 UK planes in Greece! Didn’t realize how many UK had when they were dispersed. The U.S. invasion fleet has been lingering around Europe for many turns, only willing to invade unguarded territories and not dash itself against heavily garrisoned targets. I’m betting you will continue this strategy by trying to secure and expand the beachhead to the Balkans, rather than use up your limited number of troops and decimate your air power attacking Italy. In the Pacific, I planned to build a naval base in Java, but decided not to do it this past turn, because if the U.S. moved back to Australia, Japan would have moved the Java fleet north, and putting it at risk of capture, despite doubling the garrison. A naval base would have allowed the Java fleet to join an attack on any Allied move to the Carolines, which you in fact did.
