Congrats on the successful funding! That’s no small feat, especially in the board game world. Looking forward to seeing more details on Song for War when you get the chance to share. Always interesting to see how different designers approach WWII mechanics, especially in the Med Theater, which doesn’t get as much focus. Good luck with the production phase, it sounds like quite the ride.
Rise and Decline of the Third Reich

Bought it just before leaving for school, so I haven’t been able to play a game. My friends and I barely learned the rules, but made it through two or three turns in the 1939 scenario.
Any comments?

Between 1992 and 1994 we played this game exclusively in place of Axis and Allies. (Because we were just bored to tears with stock strategies for AA.)
What we liked about Rise and Decline was that it had infinitely more territories (since it’s a hex grid), it had new rules (attrition, line of supply, etc.) What we did not like was that it had cardboard pieces and no way to attack America.

download the map and files. you just need the rules.
Note: this is a huge map and the counters print out as 1 inch so the hexes are about 1.5 inch… yes huge.
