I think it is quite consistent with how Adam plays axis in particular. it was the right move considering how the game is progressing.

The fact that Adam resists such temptations is one of the reason, he why does not lose with Axis. Any attack, that has the potential to cripple the Japanese air force, brings the chance to lose control over the game.
The main reason not to attack is the fact that Japan could bring its mainland army next to Yunnan anyway this turn. So why risk precious planes when you can just burst the “yunnan riot” safely one turn later?
Impatience is one of the biggest dangers for Axis players.
That does not mean that the Axis players don’t have to play fast, dedicated and ruthless. But the reflex to just hit when a threat arises needs to be controlled and one needs always to carefully evaluate, whether one can get a better for the hit later.
@Adam514 for whatever reason I can’t select the fighter in GIB to attack…I probably don’t need it but if things go south I will ask for a separate roll.

Hmm, I felt the Japanese attack on Yunnan was good there. Am I allowed to say that?
The fact that Adam resists such temptations is one of the reason, he why does not lose with Axis. Any attack, that has the potential to cripple the Japanese air force, brings the chance to lose control over the game.
The main reason not to attack is the fact that Japan could bring its mainland army next to Yunnan anyway this turn. So why risk precious planes when you can just burst the “yunnan riot” safely one turn later?
Yeah, surely you are correct here. I find this a surprising result. Axis start the game massively behind on paper so need to expand really aggressively. Declining such attacks slows their advance, even if by a turn.
I suppose the answer to this conundrum is that you need to look at where both sides will be around turns 6-9, which is likely to be only a slight economic edge to the allies. If the Axis lose too many forces in their expansion the allies can then use their material superiority to turn the tide. Or something like that.
Great move by 666 to stand there though - as Sun Tzu says, “know your enemy”. I would surely have retreated which has proven that it would have been a mistake.

The trick is to click on the land excluding where the bases are. Then it gives you a pop up.
