I tried to extend the game with the hope the Allies would make a critical mistake. That has not happened. The Germans never recovered from losing 2 fighters and 3 tac bombers in the Battle of SZ 110 first round or the somewhat daring counterattack by the Russians in Round 5. The income gap is so great that I see no viable path to victory for the Axis. Good game for you. I’ll post the result in a minute.
Because the Luftwaffe got a mauling G1, that is why you delayed the DOW until G4? Interesting, but I think you needed to press on regardless. That attack R5 was absolutely compulsory though. Without it, well you had gotten between my forces and Moscow. Moscow would have been doomed.
I was thinking you were probably continuing this game to report it in 2020. Looks like that’s not the case. Was kind of hoping to have it count 2020, since I won’t get enough points to go up a tier in 2019.
I could go again if you’re interested. Bid for allies?
I’d like that. But let me sleep on it. I have a never-ending game with FMERommel (which requires enormous care), and I am going to take on a play-off game (which may also require enormous care). More than 2 games may not be manageable. If a third game is possible, it might be much slower than our previous game. Made too many important decisions in our last game too quickly and without enough thought.
