Well I added Italy to my set so am using the Anniversary Edition '42 setup in which Japan goes first - but the Anniversary Edition setup still has the British units there by India. Guess I’ll just leave it alone.

Just to clarify….the OP is referring to the AE gambit in low luck. So he’s not really risking much by taking one less fig to UKR…he will still take it 100% but just with higher than av. losses.

It’s difficult to judge the efficacy of the gambit because whether it works or not depends on dice and the German player’s reaction. If Germany ends up skipping SZ2…then it worked. Or if Germany fails to actually take Egy, it worked. The main risk is if Germany goes to both 2 and Egy and succeeds… On the other hand, sometimes Germany will go to both 2 and Egy and get diced up…even 2 is not a sure thing in low luck because of the Russian sub.

Almost never. In fact, one of my specialities is the widdle. I will attack a superior infantry stack if I have enough hardware that can retreat to a safe position.

Well in all the games that have this thing, I’ve kept it, but never used it. One game anyways someone asked if I we could put all the pieces and chips under it, so I agreed, but I don’t know what it’s for?

I use it to put the pieces that were hit during a round of combat so I know that they get a shot back in defense. Once they get the defense shot then I remove them from play and put them back in the baggie.

That was the plan. However, dealing with the problems with AAP40 may delay it a bit. The AA42 and AAP40 FAQs, along with some updates to the AA50 FAQ, were all supposed to happen at the same time.

I filled my gaps concerning that Doolittle guy but I found Japan’s answer to the raid far more interesting. Balloon bombs ? Sounds more like in a SF movie than a real WW2 story.
btw : Is there a way to play AAE1940 by EMail right now ?
