    My turn to get severely diced. Had a 75 % win in Taranto with a full scramble. And the brave Italians hit 5/5.

    5/5 hits was more than I had hoped for. I don’t think the battle was actually close to 75%. I had it more like 65-68% (hence the scramble) Sometimes you need to calc the battle multiple times to get a better average %. For that battle I have found you need to bring the carrier to soak hits (even with the extra sub). Regardless of the outcome of the battle Germany usually cleans up whatever is left anyway. So I see it as a UK sacrifice to hamper Italy.

  • I’ve decided to abstain from the block. Italy can bring in the fig as well, so it would take 5 inf to dissuade an attack, which would be cleaned up by the Germans. Too valuable a loss.
