Wow, the opening dice were extreme and in your favor. You’re lucky, as I started another game as the Axis at the same time and the dice were extreme in my favor. UK rolled 4-for-4 in SZ111 round 1 while I only rolled 2-for-6 and had to retreat. I won SZ110, but you rolled 4-for-6 in round 1, causing heavy losses. Yugo rolled 5-for-5 on round 1; a 1-in-243 chance.

Ha, I got some measure of revenge. Not the BB, but the CA. I had never seen anyone bid cash instead of units. But now I see why. You must have intended full UK scramble and so wanted to replenish the fighters that you would lose. You couldn’t build the third fighter without extra cash. Or build the ANZ I.C. on turn 1, without the extra cash. I couldn’t match the 5 fighters that you could scramble, even with every available unit that could reach. So I just attacked with my only sub, since you couldn’t scramble against the sub without a DD. And if I hit, the CA couldn’t fire back. Luckily, you also missed on round 1. Would have been great if your BB missed on round 2 and I struck again on round 3. Since your BB was already damaged, first strike would have sunk the BB without it returning fire. I’ll settle for sinking the CA. I forgot to reinforce Gibraltar. I will repost with the edit.

I was ofcourse lucky that G1 went this way, and I could realy use the 3rd fighter, I also like to have the option to buy a factory with Anzac right away or a bomber

I knew there was a risk of -TUV to an all air attack if the dice favored you. So I sent 17 planes that should have killed 10 units, but I only hit 8. That left your fighter to strike again, and it did. I don’t mind so much both sides rolling better or worse than average, but not one side rolling great and the other side rolling poorly. Even your troops in Yunnan hit above average. I put more units there than I needed, but I wanted to guarantee taking it. The loss of planes will hurt later on.

I knew there was a risk of -TUV to an all air attack if the dice favored you. So I sent 17 planes that should have killed 10 units, but I only hit 8. That left your fighter to strike again, and it did. I don’t mind so much both sides rolling better or worse than average, but not one side rolling great and the other side rolling poorly. Even your troops in Yunnan hit above average. I put more units there than I needed, but I wanted to guarantee taking it. The loss of planes will hurt later on.
I must say it’s always a risk with so many planes, 1 or 2 hits more or less happens a lot. Let’s hope for the rest of the game the dice will be a bit more gentle
I messed up G2 move. In all my other games, I moved tanks into Poland. But this game, I moved the tanks with the inf/art from Yugo > SloHun, but didn’t continue on to Poland. So now I can’t blitz into Novg. Bummer.
