In Axis and Allies 1942 (second edition) strategic bombing can damage a factory. If so you place damage markers under the IC.

Probably not. But I still ask: does this ‘damage’ also lower the amount of Zs needed to take control of an area containing a factory.

No, it doesn’t. The number of zombies required to take control is based on the IPC value of the territory, not the production capacity of the IC.
