Australia is a monarchy and USA is a republic. A big difference. One of the good things you USA-americans have is the power of choosing your own chief of state, something we Spanish and they, Australians, don’t have. Australia is even worst, because their chief of state is queen Elizabeth II of United Kingdom (a non-Australian).

Just I cannot imagine USA having as chief of state the queen of England  :-o
