    If Japan hadn’t attacked the Allied fleet in Aust, it would be in good shape now. Germ was doing okay until losing my fighters and a bomber in the bombing of Moscow and you didn’t lose any planes. Can’t bomb Moscow this turn. Russ is very slowly losing income. But Germ can’t take advantage, because spending to guard against U.S. and protecting Italy and Egypt. UK not diverting enough units to Russ. Axis income very close to Allies, but I can’t break out and take Moscow or Africa. U.S. ground troops are massing in N. Africa.

    @FMErwinRommel Yes we have got ourselves into a bit of stalemate at the moment with neither of us fancying a low odds decisive combat. Hopefully (for me!) I can finally whittle japan down to a sideline before you overwhelm the last Europe VC and bring the US fully into Europe. Every turn I curse the fact that I didn’t do the Taranto or Tobruk attack in UK1. It would be a totally different game ig the Uk had control of egypt :white_frowning_face:

    I think the problem is that Britain didn’t attack either Tobruk or Ethiopia. You went for round 1 amphib move to Mideast. I don’t normally do Taranto, but like to take out both Tobruk and Ethiopia. In my game with Owentoo, that kept me in Egypt But he had Italy and Germany take Gibraltar and heavily garrison it and Algeria.

    Good turn for Germany. The Luftwaffe made a preemptive strike in N. Africa and the dice were favorable. Income equals U.S. & total PU’s & production are similar. Feel more comfortable now. Germany has maintained parity with Russia in ground troops on the front line, despite having only one I.C. in Russia and not building mobile units in Germ. So I will continue building planes for offense and flexibility. Economically, Germ is doing well without taking Moscow. So even tho you are diverting my attention, eventually I may take Moscow. Only drawback is not bombing Moscow this turn, which allows you to build up to 5 units.

    Okay, I was able to post the edited save game. I thought long and hard about attacking the U.S. fleet in the Carolines. You can threaten so much of the Japanese empire from there. But of course, you can be attacked from multiple locations, also. I had 2/3 odds. But I would have had to take 2 CVs as losses to maintain a slight power advantage, while you could just take a hit on each of yours and not lose defense or ditch any planes.
