Your sub in sz 80 was incredibly effective… cost me IPC’s in convoying, stopping russian lend lease, and taking the UK pac NO away -
Sweet Caroline (Neil Diamond). Was it worth the cost? I don’t have to worry about loaded transports or big bomber attacks in mid-Pacific. As to the sub in sz80, you skimped on destroyers everywhere and on subs (except ANZ). It got you quick impact with the bomber builds, but it caught up with you. That one sub was very effective. Destroyers are the work horses of the navy in Triplea. Japan can’t afford new transports. Have to rebuild my fleet first. But that will be a long, slow process, given my limited income compared to my combined enemies.

@FMErwinRommel It takes a while for the allied fleets to get secure enough everywhere to stop those pesky axis subs. But I’m getting there. Carolines are the key to the pacific so having them is worth some losses. Hopefully I can push the last few japanese ships out and start doing real damage!

@FMErwinRommel just seen the marti dice results… russian air wiped out, but went down fighting hard, AA got 1 and the defenders in the caucasus fought hard as well. An expensive round for us both!

Nasty air war indeed. Last time, the hits were rounded up for both of us. This time, we both had hits that were double the expected average. Even though the AA rounded up to give me a hit, at least the survivors rolled great. Hopefully, UK will have to divert some fighters from the war on Italian Egypt.
