Might be a huge mistake but I think it is too dangerous to me to let your stack in France get between the Italians and Germany.
Once I roll the dice I’ll need casualty orders around the bomber and which countries should lose units first. And while I’m starting this now, I might not get a chance to finish it until tomorrow.
I never understood why you kept your Italians at SF instead of France. I assume you did not want to fight attrition battles around SF?

There were a couple of reasons. Partly was to be able to use the factory to produce, but also because I could set up the fleet there too. If I didn’t hold the terrain, there was a possibility that the US could take it and then the British could wipe out my navy and land. But yes, given his move now, it might have been a mistake. Or at least a mistake not to expect this on the last turn and move back into France.
If I stuck it out another round, the Germans would have had a shot, but it wasn’t certainly that I could get the odds above 80% or so. I can hold West Germany I think (and maybe S Italy too). If I went another round and rolled poorly, that probably wouldn’t have been possible. Might regret not doing another round.
