• Beer can be a four letter word, too

ask a guy the morning after

  • '19 Moderator

Well, yeah, if you ask him before he’s had his Bloody Beer!

  • @Der:

How bout’ Boddington’s from Engand.  The beer with the shakers in the can.

Great stuff, but you have to sell your left nut to be able to afford it.

  • '19 Moderator

True, its about $1.50 a can here

  • @Jermofoot:

My new roomie is very fond of Newcastle, so it’s growing on me again.  But I turned her on to Delirium Tremens last night, so it’s all good. :)

Please tell me that Delirium Tremens is also the name of a Drink/Band/video game/tv show . . . otherwise she needs to be in a hospital (or at least loaded up with valium and thiamine).

And are you non-Canadians still talking about beer?  That’s kind of like a group of Cubans discussing optimizing one’s stock portfolio, no?

  • @dezrtfish:

That’s steep, but still cheaper than here.

I try to keep it to a dollar a beer, unless its a barley-wine style like Serria Nevada Big Foot…

    Ouch!

    Sometimes words hurt Tim…

  • Wait…

The folks who’s claims to fame are Heineken and Moosehead are busting OUR chops on discussing beer  :?

It’s probably the best tasting beer (and maybe the worst named) I’ve ever had.

Heineken is Canadian now?  And Moosehead ain’t bad at all…

  • '19 Moderator

That is an unusual name for a beer to say the least, and last I knew Heineken was Dutch.  Not a big fan of Moosehead, but I’ve had worse.

  • I think we used to steal Moosehead from the corner store when we were like 15.  The guy never chased us probably because he could’nt sell the stuff anyway.  A long time ago it was, but I remember we liked it.  But we also drank O.E. 1800, so what did we know.

  • Sorry, I meant Labatts.

  • '19 Moderator

The only “blue” beer I drink is PBR baby, Red Neck, White socks, and Blue Ribbon Beer!

  • OE in a brown bag brings back memories.

    be nice.
and don’t forget about Canadian, Molson Special Dry, Big Rock, Rickard’s Red, and best of all

    Alexander Keith’s India Pale Ale

    Alexander Keith’s India Pale Ale

I’m going to see if I can find some of this stuff and I’ll let you know what I think.

  • If it is “India Pale Ale” is it REALLY Canadian?

I think the Hoosier state is close enough to Canada.  Close enough for Bobby Knight to get pissed and throw a chair at it.

    :P
    fair question.
It was developed and is brewed in Canada, so therefore blah blah blah.
