    Brit turn went badly. U.S. cv ftrs all attacked Jpn dd in Cel and landed on CVs in Phil. I should have had some skip the sea battle and land in Phil, so the Indian planes could have joined the attack on Kiangsi and landed on the CVs instead of Phil. The attack without air support should have been even, but you hit and I missed. The UK air attack on Jpn inf next to Moscow all hit, but so did you, despite 1/3 chance. I took the bomber to let the ftrs defend Moscow. It wasn’t a necessary attack, but I had 2/3 chance that you would miss, but you didn’t. I went all out to defend Phil. Chinese and Indians moving into unprotected China interior.

    I built all mech to put in Iraq Persia and Egypt, but I don’t have a factory in Egypt. Would you allow me to change UK build to an I.C. in Egypt instead of 3 mech in S. Africa?

I can’t compete in this game with crappy dice. It was worth taking out 2 of yours for 1 of mine. But turned out 2 of mine for one of yours.

    Here’s my rule of thumb. You’re right on your calculations and I’ve seen you do this quite a bit, but you have to bring in as many land units on these small battles as the defender because you will lose some of them. Invariably it seems to happen when it hurts the most.

    The odds that I would hit with 2 infantry are 1 in 6. Not great, but not terrible either.

    The odds were 1/3 x 1/3 or 1/9th, not 1/6th for you. Multiply that by the odds that I would roll half of what was expected in the same occurrence, makes it even rarer. There would have been no benefit to use 2 ground troops to eliminate 2 ground troops. It wouldn’t have improved my odds in Moscow. It wouldn’t have been so bad if I had eliminated both of your units.
