I need a break from A&A. It triggers me too much.
And I don’t know a solution. I thought about LL rerolls, but those would have actually hurt me here. There was only one big battle and that went in my favour (too little too late). All those dozens of small battles, especially in Asia decided the game. And in my opinion, those were the only factor. I feel like we are at a similar skill level, but both games have been decided by luck.
Now I realize I might be wrong and I’m misjudging myself. But A&A is lowering my mood way more often than it’s uplifting it.

@MrRoboto I understand, we both care too much. Do yourself a favor and play and beat some lower tier players. It will feel good. You are right for equally skilled players it will/might, come down to luck…

Idk want to spend too much time searching. I’ve gone through the rules and looked here as well.
Question is:
“In triplea 3 subs kill an aircraft carrier and subs are then asked to retreat” I’m thinking they shouldn’t be given the option ? I should add that a plane was scrambled to the SZ, so maybe that’s why triplea gave it that option ? I guess I can test that.
At any rate, what do you think ? Plane legitimately offers the subs a chance to retreat ?

No, there was a rule update - both sides need units which can fire at a valid target for the attacker to be able to retreat. Or both sides having only transports (for some strange reason).
@barnee Simon is correct. This is a known and still unfixed TripleA issue. When the battle is over ( Once all units that can … fire at a valid target … have been destroyed, the combat ends. ) there should not be a retreat option - except for the Transport stalemate situation.
