China needs to legitimize their hold over these fake island bases theyve conjured up. Every time they challenge us or some other power over them, and we back down, it makes their foot-hold a little more legit.
Sea Zones: Can USA and Japan share one? (if not at war)

To quote the Pacific 1940 rulebook [page 8]:
Sea zones are either friendly or hostile. Friendly sea zones contain no surface warships belonging to a power with which
you are at war. Hostile sea zones contain surface warships belonging to a power with which you are at war (this does
not include submarines and transports)So, IF the US and Japan are not at war, then it sounds to me like I could move an American fleet through (or even stop in) a Sea Zone that contains Japanese warships. (or vice-versa)
