Hello all!

I have decided to rebut Don’s essays on Axis and Allies classic in a ten part series on YouTube. You can check out the first video (in two parts) by clicking on the link below:

I attacked WRus and Ukr with Russia. With the UK I sank the SZ16 (had brought the INF and ARM from Libya to Ukr), SZ59 and SZ5 fleets. I then pulled back everything towards Caucasus, even abandoning India to J - the Germans were getting ready to hit it heavy soon, and I think it saved my hide.

If I remember right, the “Can Opener” was mentioned in the Caspian Sub Yahoo group’s paper regarding the Japanese invasion of Western Canada. Something about how German units blast Eastern Canada to open a route for Japanese tanks from Western Canada to hit Eastern U.S.

That might not bear out.

If Egypt is uncounterable, Germany could send 3 tanks to Ken on G2 and land some planes in Egypt, putting the SAf IC in a big bind. For a SAf IC, I like EM’s setup more (it’s floating around somewhere in the Revised section).

If you can counter Egypt, I think a SAf IC is not worth it I think. Landing in Alg, putting your planes in WRu and eliminating the German Med fleet on UK 2 is a better way of securing Africa if that’s what you really want.

I had intended the Allies to choose the source of the bid cash/territories.

Interesting question…
Would the USA want to give up Mexico, Cuba, Panama or Brazil from the start?

Sure, they could take it back, but it would be a detour for US forces from their main goals…
