Hello all,

This is a rather old topic, but I was wondering if anyone has a copy of these rules that they can share.
At one point you could download them from http://www.armchaircommander.com/ but the website appears to be dead, all it has is a teaser picture for a second edition of these rules.

Is there any chance for an upgrade kit for those who own the 1st edition but do not wish to buy the complete 2nd edition 1940 games?

Might FMG/HBG/others be putting one together? This would mainly be the new artillery AAA/AAA pieces I guess. Perhaps also with a sticker to correct the board (Korea SZ), but that might be pushing some copyright limits?

why are you centered on the pacific, do get me wrong I love your knew idea but will you ever do any Europe or is field command a pacific game.

We do intend to do a battle in the Europe theatre. In fact, that was our original intention. The reason we choose these three battles is partly due to the renewed interest in the Pacific Theatre following from HBO’s The Pacific series. It doesn’t have much to do with where we’re based and we don’t intend for the Field Command series to be restricted to Asia or the Pacific.

0 Defense - This unit can stop tanks from blitzing the same as an aa gun can.

thats kind of a crazy rule, i dont c the point in it or the historical backing.

Otherwise my main concern is that i dont think these rules add a lot of stratagy except making three of each players land armies super strong.

Why cant you have naval or air commanders?
