Out of 860 German rolls the median is 4.0 and average is 3.495. That beats all of the Allied countries except for USSR. Just the bad rolls seem to come on very important battles…

I may not take my turn until late. Regardless of what happens in the Phil Sea battle, Japan has 93 P.U. to spend and its empire won’t collapse quickly. Nor will Euro Axis. I have to plan for the post big fleet era and try to maintain my position on the mainland. Last turn I made the mistake of buying planes instead of ships. But now I must keep those planes close by Phil to save it. Would have been better just to have built ships instead.

Glad that I didn’t take Jpn turn right away.  I’m dense, I finally realized that I could put my own DD blockers and build 12 ships for 90 P.U. to put the odds back in my favor. Not guaranteed, but the average net TUV would be very negative.
A repeat on the bombing air battle.  Jpn 0/8, Allies 2/9.  With an AA loss.  I lost 32 TUV for 16 damage in Russia.  In the prior 2 rounds, the U.S. and Brit lost 1 of 6 bombers and caused 24 damage.  That’s a 2-1 return on your investment.
