Hi everyone!
Long time A&A guy - like most of you I’d imagine, I grew up on the original in the 1980s, loved the 1940 version when it went even more global, and played my share of the Pacific Theater as well. Dabbled in the WW one stuff, but not extensively - though I was impressed at the time by how battles could be sustained turn over turn vs. rolling until mutual destruction. That is an innovative mechanic that I’ve employed as game designer.
On that note - I am the co-designer of a WWII tabletop game that (thankfully!) has received a lot of attention in the last several months - Song for War: Mediterranean Theater. It’s currently live on Kickstarter and one of our backers recommended I get linked in to this site, perhaps in the “other games” forum, which I’d be thrilled to do, if that is permitted. Wont post anything until I hear from you all - just happy to be part of the group either way.
