The Euro axis can hold out quite a while defensively when their offense fails. But 2 very bad dice battles in a row is making it all but impossible to hold this together. Ger had 1/4 more units, 1/3 greater power and bat calc of 9 units left in a sure defense in Rum. Yet I only rolled 5 hits for 20 units with 51 power in the first round. In the third round, 5 of your 6 units hit, while only 4 of my 9 hit. Bat Calc said I would average 9 units left, but I only had 4 when you retreated with 2. I calculated that 9 would be enough to hold off Brit 's land units and 2 southern ftrs. I failed to consider that the Brit planes in Russia could reach. I still would have killed off the Brit ground units with just an average dice. The fading side needed the good dice, not the strengthening side.

Italy took out the Brit ground troops in Rom, but all 3 Brits hit. The Brit bomber hit Novg for the sixth time, inflicting a total of 30 damage without a loss. My Ita bomber was hit by AA on its first and only raid. Early this year, in an online game against a new opponent, my allies rolled a smashing success against Ger and then again against Japan. Sometimes the dice seem to be on a certain side. Happens on table top also. I’m not going to make dumb attacks, but I feel a certain confidence when I attack now.

@Desert_Admiral The UK bomber has been a life saver. It’s bombed the equivalent of 10 infantry now.

The Germans are on the offense again. Taking Rostov for the first time. In real life, the Germans were great at counterattacking. I thought about repairing and building in Novg and Ukr, but that didn’t leave much for anything else. And the Brit air would attack any threat. 0_1542668299512_triplea_42742_Ger12.tsvg

The Jpn fleet buildup came just prior to the Allied move forward to DNG. It may not have been in time to save the IJN. It would have been nice to have started the prior turn, but I was so caught up in taking China, that I didn’t notice the U.S. buildup . We’ll see if this turns out to have been a fatal mistake or not.

I feel like I misplayed a couple of times down in ANZAC which set me back. So I’ve just continued a slow and stead build up just waiting.

Yes Japan has marshaled its forces in the big push west into the last stronghold of China and further into Russia. But I see that the Ruskies have flew in the face of the Japanese onslaught and to turn back the Ger advance. -

I changed the game ID to 32238 in the dialogue box and in the save game, but it still gives me the 301 error. Website says its working, but I can’t post from triplea.
I attacked Kansu with most of my units in China and won in one round. But the Chi/Bri defenders all hit, instead of just the two expected. Now I don’t have as many mech to take hits as I try to advance into Russia.0_1543001403321_triplea_32238_Jap12.tsvg -
