    I knew it.  My Italian bomber was shot down on its maiden bombing run.  It inflicted no damage and never will.  Meanwhile, the Brit bomber caused twice its value in damage and have never been hit in 5 bombing runs.  I didn’t want to risk the Italian bomber because I can’t afford to replace it, and the U.S. can afford to repair.  But the bomber wasn’t doing anything and it was only 1/6 chance of a hit. 
    I didn’t ask you for an intercept because you only had 1 ftr and I escorted with a ftr.

    Thanks for making the Italian edit.  Jpn makes lots of money, but can’t out produce U.S. and ANZ combined.  It will be to costly to replace the 3 tt’s that I negligently let the Fre DD sink.  I can’t afford tt’s and warships.

    I planned my combat on not repairing Novg.  So I needed to bring all the planes there and not divert an inf to Arch.  But to protect against an air attack, I repaired and built units there, giving no change of a successful attack.  So I should have used my idle planes and an inf to take Arch.

    Planned on attacking first round and then seeing if I needed to retreat based on the numbers.  Russians had great rolls.

    Bat Calc gave you 24% chance of winning and aver TUV -26.  The first round you got 8.5 more hits and I got 2.7 more hits than expected.  Subsequent rounds I never made up the difference.  The prior turn when I lost 3 units attacking Smol and you lost none, and this turn when your 3 defenders gave 2 hits instead of 1, all caused the odds to improve from very poor to 24%.
