    Greece was the obvious place for the allies to go, since Italy was heavily defended and Ger was weak in the Balkans.  This diverts Ger reinforcements from Rus and is still a threat to Italy, so it can’t move troops out to retake Greece.  In general, Northern Europe can be defended by Ger from centralized locations in Paris and W. Ger.  But Italy has 2 coasts and 2 terr to defend.  A strong Ger bomber force is necessary to scare away the allies in the Med.  I played a team game where the Ger kept building bombers every turn and once it reached 14, it’s power and long range kept the allies at bay.

    Oh no, I just saw that the Fre DD sank my tt’s.  No excuse, I should have put a capital ship with them.  I was only looking at the U.S. and ANZ.  Curses.  Losing 3 tt’s in our team game hurt Japan badly.

    Yeah, a lot of players will land Americans in Normandy & Southern Europe and just get them wiped.  You did a good job protecting Norway.

    The German bomber strategy is good.  It’s called Dark Skies.  Of course you need to balance the bombers with land units if you are pushing Germany.

    The next obvious move for the Allies is to move into sz97 and strangle Italy.
