Well….nice video…I would have to say that was indeed very painful to see the USA played so poorly. As soon as I saw x-ports sitting fully loaded offshore of GB w/o protection I knew they were doomed w/ poor leadership. Interesting that ANZAC was able to roam so freely. Also…how was China able to wipe out Japans air force? :-o Thanks for sharing this. It’s fun to see how others play. I’ve gone up against some folks that won’t make a move w/o their calculators and electronic apps and ridiculously large forces. Then are completely surprised when they lose. I’ve never played with those type of gadgets. I’ve been playing since A&A was introduced and always come up w/ a game plan, buy accordingly and go for it. I tend to try spontaneous battles as opportunity presents itself. (Such as fully loaded x-ports w/o protection  ) I win some & lose some…but always learn and have some serious fun. Thanks again!
Long game or Slow game

Which do you generally play and how does it change the balance. Should the axis go all out for the critical victory conditions aiming for around t5-8 victory or play a slower style of game gradually building up their economy to wear down the allies and crush them over 15-20 turns.

Slow game .

Not sure there’s much of a difference for the Axis. The best plays tend to get you money quickly, which builds up your economy nicely. You can’t win with Russia making 37, so you need Novgorod/Karaelia, even in a slow play.
I suppose incremental gains in Russia and dropping German ships in the Med to help lock down Africa/Middle East would be a slow play angle. No J1 can be, too, but I haven’t skipped J1 in over a year.

Its rare to win with the Axis after 15 rounds.

Max Moscow purchases until the Allies prove that it will be defended G6. Than at that point defend and go for the economic victory.

And if the Allies are dropping enough into Moscow to keep it, Japan should be absolutely owning the Pacific and bringing in 70+ ipcs.
